Joel's Place for Children

Joel's Place for Children provides free peer-based grief support groups for children and their families who have experienced the death of someone close. We have continued to offer comfort to families for over twenty years and have never turned away a grieving child. 

Our program is unique because....

• we are non-denominational, all religious or spiritual affiliations are welcome & we do not push any single one.
• we have ongoing and open enrollment. Our children and families can start anytime throughout the year and can come back anytime. Once a family is enrolled they are welcome back at any point as grief is not linear.
• we are completely FREE, intake, all group sessions, our butterfly release each summer, and dinners. There is no cost to anything.
• we offer dinner before every support group, this allows us to feed the families, enjoy community, take dinner plans off the table, handle a cost, and be focused for sessions.
