Getting To We, Inc.

Getting to We (GTW) is a non-profit organization that uses the transformative nature of the arts (theater, film, dance, comedy, literary, visual) to help people understand their shared, core identity as humans and relate to each other without fear. Ultimately, we want a world where minds are open and human interaction is about making ourselves and each other better friends, families, neighbors, co-workers, and citizens – better humans. Based on the research and frameworks created by founder, psychologist, and scholar Dr. Deborah L. Plummer, Getting To We works to identify seeds of trust and how social trust operates among cross-racial groups. GTW’s Social Trust Movement is based on a relational model of human differences and uses innovative strategies for building social trust and fostering equity and solidarity. We create learning communities, research-backed resources, digital tools, visual media, DEIB Edutainment™, and competency-building learning experiences that create a better society for everyone. We believe that intentional multicultural, multiracial living provides us with the competencies necessary to turn us and them into WE.
