Bicycle Thrift Store Greeting and Bike Fitting

OCBC empowers people in Greater Cleveland with reliable bicycle transport, education and mechanical skills training to increase mobility, improve health and protect the environment. By providing affordable access to bicycles, bicycle training and maintenance, we envision that everybody, no matter who they are, will be able to own, ride, and maintain their bikes. Volunteers are needed through the summer to help people in need of bicycles, repairs, and parts. Volunteer greeters help to direct community members to find what it is they need, and to connect people to the proper staff members.

Volunteers are also needed to help assess bicycle needs based on size and transportation/recreation needs, as well as to ensure bikes are ready for test riding (air in the tire, handlebars secured, etc). No prior bicycle knowledge is expected; we will train volunteers.

Public hours are noon-5pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Volunteering may be recurring, one-off, or anywhere in between.
