Food Distributions
The Campus Cupboard partners with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and The Salvation Army of Summit County to host two large scale food distributions each month. These events typically serves over 140 individuals in the UA community and takes place come rain or snow!
Tasks: help greet/check in students and community members, keep tables stocked with items available, breakdown boxes/clean up and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Food Bank Pop Up Pantry (every 2nd Thurs.)
- November - February: located inside Simmons Hall, lobby.
- March - October: located in the parking lot next to Simmons Hall on the corner of Buchtel & College (Lot 24 North).
- Inclement weather: location moves to Simmons Hall Lobby.
- The Salvation Army Food Distribution (every 4th Thurs.)
- November - February: located inside Simmons Hall, lobby.
- March - October: located at the Turnabout by Honors Dorms & Bierce Library.
- Inclement weather: location moves to Simmons Hall Lobby.
Each Distribution takes place from 11 am - 1 pm, while supplies last.
- Please arrive to location listed when arriving for your volunteer timeslot.
