First time volunteering? Here is how to sign up: 
 
1. Browse the list of opportunities and team project options below. Click on the opportunity to learn more. 

2. Select your volunteer opportunity: Click the "Sign Up" or "Express Interest" button to begin registration process. You can sign up individually or with a team (group of your peers). 

• When you "Sign Up" you are registering for a volunteer opportunity that has a specific date and time. 

• When you "Express Interest" you will communicate with the nonprofit to find a mutually agreeable date & time for your service. 

3. Log in or Create a volunteer account. 

• If this is your first time using the system, you will need to create an account. You will be asked a set of basic information questions (only a few are required). Please use your University of Akron email address. You will receive an email to verify your email address. 

• If you have already created an account previously, simply log in. 

4. Go out and volunteer! From here on out, your communication will be directly with the nonprofit organization. You are able to communicate with them or cancel your registration through the system if needed.

Important Notes: 

• If you are looking to enter your hours for the 50 & 100 Hour Service Challenge through UA, submit your hours HERE: https://uakron.presence.io/organization/serveakron/forms 

• If you would like to “Self Report” a service that was done outside of these opportunities, navigate to the “Self Report Hours” page in the "My Account" dropdown menu at the top of the page. 

• If you are looking to download a list of all of your volunteer hours, navigate to the "Overview" page in the "My Account" dropdown menu at the top of the page. Then click, "Print Volunteer History" to print or save a PDF.
